Common Questions
Quick answers to help you get started
Do I need a referral?
No referral is necessary. Parents can contact us directly to inquire about a developmental screening, comprehensive assessment, or to request intervention services. We also accept referrals from pediatricians, schools, daycares, and other professionals.
*Note, eligibility for various services depends upon the availability of current grant funding.
What should I bring to our first appointment?
Please bring relevant medical records, prior evaluation reports, a list of current medications, and any questions and concerns you’d like to discuss. Children typically do not attend the intake session, but are welcome to bring a comfort item to their testing or intervention sessions.
What should I do if my child does not meet criteria for grant-funded services?
We always suggest that families complete a referral form and phone screen so we understand your child’s needs and can add them to our waitlist. We are continually working on additional funding sources, so having an idea of what needs are not yet funded, which helps us as we apply for new grants.
