Play-Based Intervention
Play Therapy
Play therapy allows children to express emotions, work through challenges, and develop essential social and emotional skills in a safe, supportive environment. Through carefully guided play activities, our therapists help children:
Build self-confidence and emotional regulation
Develop communication and social interaction skills
Learn problem-solving and coping strategies
Process difficult experiences or transitions
Strengthen relationships with caregivers
Play is the language of childhood—through it, children communicate, explore, and heal.
Evidence-Based Assessment
Developmental Testing
Our comprehensive developmental assessments provide clarity about your child's strengths, challenges, and developmental trajectory. Using standardized, evidence-based tools, we evaluate:
Cognitive and intellectual development
Language and communication skills
Motor development (fine and gross motor)
Social-emotional functioning
Adaptive behavior and daily living skills
Autism spectrum characteristics

What to expect: A Developmental Evaluation includes a comprehensive developmental intake with the caregiver(s) for about 90 minutes and two, 1-hour assessment sessions with your child. We provide a detailed written report, that is explained during a feedback session. We will review your child's strengths and weaknesses and any recommendations we have based upon the assessment results. .
School Readiness
School Readiness
Starting school is a major milestone. Our school readiness program helps children develop the foundational skills they need to thrive in the classroom, including:
Pre-academic skills (early literacy, numeracy, shapes, colors)
Attention, focus, and task completion
Following multi-step directions
Self-regulation and managing emotions
Communication and asking for help
Social skills and peer interaction

What to expect: Through testing, some children exhibit weaknesses in certain functional pre-academic skills. These may be academic skills, such as learning letters and numbers. This might also include behavioral skills such as following directions, completing tasks, taking turns, and sharing with peers.

Preparing for Success
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy (OT) supports children in developing the skills needed for everyday activities—from self-care to play to learning. Our OT services address:
Fine motor skills (writing, cutting, buttoning)
Gross motor coordination and strength
Sensory processing and regulation
Visual-motor integration
Self-care skills (feeding, dressing, hygiene)
Activities of daily living and independence
What to expect: Assessment appointments typically last 2-3 hours and include time for both parent consultation and direct observation with your child. We provide a detailed written report and feedback session to discuss findings and recommendations.
